What is 7 Places and how do we come up with our recommendations?

7 Places is a project that blends the power of AI with the subtlety and nuance of human curation… to produce (we hope) some delightful travel recommendations of places to see and things to experience for the curious traveler.

The way it works is that we use an AI agent (designed by us) to provide us with a long list of places to see in any given city. We might add some context to the list, like the time of the year or even with a specific focus on free experiences or food and drink or culture.

Armed with that list, one of the 7 Places team will check out the places on the list and we then pick the seven best to recommend to you. And that’s what you see in the 7 Places blog posts we publish here.

So, a true marriage of AI and human curation. For your pleasure. We hope.
